Description: Our client is currently looking for a very strong Technical Recruiter with IT Recruitment experience, to join the team in Edmonton.

The purpose of this Recruiter role is to execute the company's recruiting policies and procedures to attract and retain qualified IT candidates to meet the staffing needs the client's Business Unit.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Build candidate pools that will serve the team’s business environment supporting new business and on-going business.

  • Reads and assesses job requirements with respect to job descriptions and optimum recruiting strategies.

  • Screen, interview, and qualify candidates to position requirements.

  • Negotiate with candidates (rates, terms of employment, start date, reference checks, etc.); present offer recommendations to ensure the close.

  • Develop postings and advertising strategies to target and recruit candidate pools.

  • Research the IT recruiting industry (trade magazines, news media, web resources etc.) to identify industry trends and best practices. Participates in recruiter forums

  • Represent the client at career fairs and other networking functions.

  • Being able to manage a high volume of requests with quick response times for both Contracts and Permanent Full-time new hires.

  • Requirements: Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Education or equivalent work experience.

  • Three years of demonstrated Resourcing/Recruiting experience, in a technical environment, ideally with experience recruiting a wide range of IT positions from Project Managers and Business Analysts to Application Architects, Developers and various forms of System and Technical Support.

  • Strong experience and knowledge of how to fill out, complete and evaluate matrices and grids for Governmental RFP's.

  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.

  • Excellent presentation, communication (written and oral) skills.

  • Highly proficient with office automation tools (MS Office) as well as internet and various databases both internal and external.

  • Extremely strong ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
